I was charmed by Valor star Christina Ochoa who discussed what attracted her to the role of ‘Nora’ on the new military drama series, going geek in Blood Drive (SyFy), how she got military helicopter fit and working with the diverse cast at the Paley Center Fall TV Preview. Christina has had a busy year playing strong female roles and I am looking forward to seeing the premier episode October 9th after Supergirl. You can also learn more about the series on the CW App/Website. The new military series takes place on a U.S. Army base within an elite unit of helicopter pilots trained to perform clandestine missions around the world. A failed mission is revealed in flashbacks where one of the first female pilots in the unit may or may not have been at fault as government, military and personal secrets unravel the plan to rescue a group of MIA soldiers. Valor panelists included: Christina Ochoa, “Nora”; Matt Barr, “Gallo”; Anna Fricke, Executive Producer; and Kyle Jarrow, Writer/Executive Producer; with Variety’s Debra Birnbaum as the moderator. Valor is a military drama/conspiracy thriller written by writer-musician Kyle Jarrow and is premiering on October 9th after Supergirl on the CW. The Paley Center for Media hosted the ten-day festival celebrating Fall TV’s most anticipated new and returning series including shows from all four major broadcast networks, cable television, and premium streaming services. PaleyFest Fall TV Previews is open to the public and tickets are currently on sale for NYC.
