The Road to Divinity [Celeste]

It's about time. (Copied from #achievements): As I ascend higher and higher through the Grandmaster Lobby, every map will ask me the same question: "What is divinity?" Cave of the Crimson Sky is like a rock. Sturdy, solid, hard, consistent. Hit poorly, and you risk falling to the map's rigorous precision. But strike continually in a precise manner, and the map will fall in no more than a few hits. It is in that demeanor that makes this map difficult, worthy of standing between those among it. CotCS is not severe nor harsh, but the respect you give it will reflect your experience with its challenge. This map took me only 5 and a half hours over 2 days, which is actually less time spent than the majority of my red Expert clears, including a few yellows. Notably, this took me less time to clear than Polaris, Garden of Khutara and Chromatic Complex (and even Hypnagogia- the first Expert I beat- if we're going by a days-only basis). That said, I enjoyed all of my time spent here. Similar to Hypnagogia and Starry Ruins before, this map was an excellent introduction to an excellent lobby. So many unique pieces of gameplay all within a sparse handful of mechanics and rooms, using them to clever degrees that may not be easily apparent. There's a hidden level of thoughtfulness to the map's rugged appearance, and it makes the clear all the more surprising, delightful and engaging. 17 maps remain in this lobby! Despite how fast this map was cleared, the entire lobby will definitely take me a year to clear, minimum.
