It All Started Here | RUB Control Deck Profile | TCG REVAMPED

The TCG Revamped project ends where it all started - with the good ol' Bolmeteus (RUB) Control! Build to be better, faster and stronger, this new configuration aims to ramp mana with Chargers to quickly unlock its most powerful plays. As part of a multi-month project, we have been hard at working giving virtually all of our existing decks makeovers in the hopes of really pushing their concepts as far as we can. **Bringing Peace, Freedom, Justice and Security to My New Format** During our testing, we found that Control decks stifled creativity and gave rise to far too many "unfun" situations. I felt a key contributor to this was being able to run a larger deck. At 40+, it felt as if Control decks weren't sufficiently punished for "trying to do too much". With this limit, Control decks will have to more carefully plan how to use their more limited resources. Trying to squeeze in all the answers while retaining consistency becomes a trickier balancing act and leaning too far in one direction is going to come at a cost in some way, shape or form. More significantly, Control decks are also encouraged to interact instead of waiting for the opponent to be at zero cards before doing anything. Not only does this make the game more enjoyable for us, but it also makes deck building more straightforward!
