Here is a not too expensive way to add a VSS signal to the PCM of your LS swap when using a non computer controlled transmission. The pass through part I am using, Dakota DIgital SEN-01-4160, will give you a VSS signal for the PCM and allow you to keep your mechanical speedometer. You will need to make changes to your tune to use this, at the end of the video I posted pictures of the parameters in Tuner Pro along with the descriptions of each parameter and the formulas to make the calculations. These parameters are calculated the same way no matter what software you are using to modify your tune. I set mine up roughly for now and will tweak the values as needed once the car is on the road. It has been said that adding the VSS will keep the engine from stalling when slowing down to a stop, I added it for this reason and in case I want to change to an electric speedometer in the future.
