Thanks to the staff and volunteers at the Dean Forest Railways signalling department, we get to see the Blockpost at Norchard on a busy day controlling the two trains on the railway. As the railway doesn’t have a passing point or loop ,Norchard serves as a control point for putting the second train out the way of the mainline train into the low level lines till the higher level train has cleared the section, hence as you’ll see in the video, the separate ground frame at the junction some distance away being used to let the dmu in and out of the low level station, the signals all being slotted into the ground frames and the Signalbox which also acts as the token control point.
