TAPASYA - episode 5 Tapasya episode 5- Posture perfection (Focussing on Araimandi) This episode of Tapasya focusses on the importance of correctness in postures such as Araimandi, which is the basic stance in Bharathanatyam. The students have to be taught to strive to achieve the correct posture right from the beginning stage. But, that may involve a lot of challenges depending on the physical structure, muscle strength and most certainly, the mental strength of the student. Through this episode, let us get an insight into the challenges and explore ways to overcome them... Tapasya - the training sessions, is a series of videos that will be published on a monthly basis (as episodes) on the last day of every month. The students featuring in Tapasya series have about 6-8 classes every month. Each episode of Tapasya is a cumulative overview of what is taught to them during the course of the month. Along with the training sessions of the children, Tapasya also holds inputs on teaching techniques from Smt. Sheela Unnikrishnan and useful tips from the regular performers of Sridevi Nrithyalaya. It is not about 'misuse' or 'trying to support' our dance and audio productions by just giving credits. Art is for all, for sure. Our productions uploaded on social media platforms are for the art lovers worldwide to WATCH and ENJOY but definitely not for copying or reproducing without SDNT's authorisation. SDNT has unanimously arrived at this decision and therefore, SDN or any individual from SDN would not be able to grant anyone permission to reproduce any of our works.
