This is not a first impression review. I’ve ridden this bike quite a bit, including during daily rides and through the Arizona summer, so I have a good idea of what it’s like to own long term. The bike sells for about $929 online right now. I paid $950 out the door for mine, but I bought it locally from someone selling them out of his garage on Facebook. It came fully assembled, which was nice. If you are thinking about buying one, it might be worth checking Facebook Marketplace first to see if there is a local dealer in your area. The Z8 Pro runs on a 48 volt system with a 750 watt motor. It has 20 by 4 inch fat tires, front and rear suspension, mechanical disc brakes, and a 7 speed gear system. One of the biggest highlights is the battery capacity. It has 31.2 amp hours across two batteries with an auto balancer so they discharge evenly. The bike is also heavy, weighing about 112 pounds. Before this bike I rode a Lectric XP Lite 2.0 for about 600 miles. That bike only has a 350 watt motor, so the jump to a 750 watt motor felt like a big upgrade. The Z8 Pro feels much faster and reaches about 28 miles per hour fairly quickly. The seat is very comfortable right out of the box, and the suspension helps smooth out bumps in the road. The headlight is also solid and works well at night. With the 31.2 amp hour battery I can usually ride about 35 miles while averaging around 22 miles per hour. There are a few downsides. Around 200 to 300 miles I started hearing rattling near the back tire, but spraying some WD 40 around the shocks helped. My rear tube also blew out around 700 miles, but adding Tannus armor and sealant solved that issue. Overall, if I had to choose one e bike under $1,000, this would probably be my pick. The large battery capacity, solid power, and comfortable ride make it a strong option in this price range.
