Today, honda just recently announced the revival of their Honda Dax as part of their mini bike series for 2022. The bike has been absent from production for over four decades, but for 2022, it is has now improve torque, power and packed with modern enhancements. The bike now has an air cooled 125cc euro 5 compliant engine. With a single cylinder, a four speed gear box, and A centrifugal clutch that adds twist-and-go simplicity for gear shifting. Twist the throttle move, and enjoy. Honda claims Dax's SOHC produces a peak of 9.3 horsepower at 7000 rpm, and 10.8Nm of torque at 5000 rpm. The new honda dax can go up to 90kph. And can save fuel up to 63kpl. And the bike can go as far as 242km or 150 mile per hour on a 3.8 litre tank. This is what I really like about the FI tech as they can be both powerful and saves fuel at the same time. Like the C125 and the latest Honda Monkey. Dax has also improved its suspension. From its traditional telescopic fork to non-adjustable 31mm inverted fork. 12 inch wheels and Disc Brakes with ABS is now standard, in courtesy of IMU. Front tire is 120x70x12 with a 220mm disc and a dual piston nissin caliper. and rear is 130x70x12 with a 190mm and a single piston caliper. The Dax's T Shape frame was based from honda cs90. Longer thick padded seat with a height of 30inch and can fit a passenger with a steel chromed grab bar and foot pegs bolted on the swingarm, this is an upgrade from the original Dax. Led lighting through out, has been added to the bike. The rpm and speedometer are in LCD digital display, sitting at the center of chrome mini ape bar. On the right side of the Dax is a helmeted daxhund wearing goggles and wheels as its legs underligned by the st125 logo Offcourse we have that High mounted exhaust with a slotted heat shield originally from its predesesor. For the color variation, we wil have the Pearl Cadet Grey” and “Pearl Nebula Red” for 2022. Unfortunately this is not available in the philippines. And we don't have the foldable handle bars which is the orignal dax has. Proximity key fob is also not available in this model. Overall, this is absolutely gorgeous... Can't wait to see a modified version from K-Speed, maybe a trail version of this on knobby tires. A scrambler or bobber look. We will find that out!
