Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah emphasized that these projects violate the 1991 Water Accord and threaten Sindh's water rights. The resolution calls for an immediate halt to these projects and urges the federal government and the Indus River System Authority to ensure fair water distribution. ​On December 31, 2024, a tragic road accident occurred near Moro, Sindh, when a passenger bus collided with a trailer on the National Highway. The bus, carrying a wedding party returning from Hyderabad, resulted in the deaths of 12 individuals, including eight members of the same family.
