VOB and MPEG-2 Files Into Sony Vegas
This tutorial shows a "trick" for putting VOB files (or any other MPEG-2 file) into Vegas. This approach has two advantages over just trying to put these files directly on the Vegas timeline. First, you will not get any gaps, hiccups, audio sync problems, repeated frames, or truncated audio and/or video that often happen when putting VOB files into Vegas. Second, the playback performance on the timeline is stellar. The approach works with any version of Vegas, which means you can edit VOB and MPEG-2 files even on versions of Vegas with minimal support for these formats. This tutorial was done on Windows XP Pro SP2. I have no clue whether any of this works under Vista or W7.
