TEACH PROPER TECHNIQUE If you don’t know what you’re doing, you might just flail your arms trying to lift dumbbells or use a machine. That’s a great way to get hurt. A personal trainer can show you the proper form and technique of each move so you’re less likely to get injured. DESIGN A PROGRAM FOR YOUR BODY You might have a prior injury, or you might be dealing with some ache or pain now. A strength and conditioning trainer can design a program to avoid stressing those areas while you still get a great workout. DESIGN A PROGRAM TO MEET YOUR GOALS Not everyone has the same fitness goals. You might be trying to add muscle mass. You might want to lose weight or get in better cardiovascular shape. You might want to get more flexible or prepare for your upcoming sport season. The trainer can design a workout program that best prepares you to meet those goals.
