I go over the basic set-up, rules and guidelines of our Scale Adventure events. Open to all scale trail rigs, 1/18, 1/10, 1/6. 4x4, 6x6 and more. A Scale Trail Adventure consists of a 100+ gates with multiple "check points" with specific mission items drivers must collect and keep on their truck for the duration of the course. Bonus items will be scattered along the course and can be collected and kept on their truck for bonus points. Drivers must have all mission items on their truck to receive a final score and time for points. Additional points can be gained by picking up trash along to the trail, big bonus points for picking up trash! Be sure to pack plenty of batteries, parts, water and a snack to truly enjoy a Scale Adventure. Rules. Scale Adventure rules are simple! Rule #1. HAVE FUN! This is not a race, the driver that has the most fun wins in the end. If you hit a gate on course, replace the gate and attempt it again for a clean progress and mark the gate penalty on your score card. Rule #2. Safety. Beware of your footing, your surroundings and others around you. One bad slip can ruin anyones day. Rule #3. Team Up. We encourage drivers to help each other through the course and collect items to complete their mission. Rule #4 Mission Items. Each driver must collect their own set of Mission Items to complete their mission. Mission items must be carried on the scale rig at all times, no pockets. Rule #5. NO HAND OF GOD. (HOG) A driver may not assist, stop, catch, or kick their vehicle. There are no penalties for reverses, winching or self recovery winching Performing on course repairs, changing batteries or having to touch your vehicle for recovery purposes is not hogging. Rule #6. Trail Course Direction. A course is directional & must be progressed in the intendeddirection of travel. Reversing through the trail marker in the intended direction is ok & allowed during reverse sections. If you break and can not complete the course, mark the last gate you progressed and report back to BaseCamp and turn in your score card. Return the items collected. Mission and bonus item points are awarded only if you complete the entire course. Be sure to fill out your score card completely and turn it in to be scored, no score card no score. Scoring. Each class will be scored separately based on time, gates progressed, bonus items and trash picked up along the trail.
