Second, you need to actually be using some of this cutting-edge technology in your product so it keeps the engineers engaged and also be contributing to open source initiatives that you or others in the open source community support that can help your business's brand and reputation 3. And third, you have to be focused on setting up communication channels and touchpoints for the team as well as be a stickler about documentation within your company Whether you’re adding your first software engineer or you are expanding the team, building your technical team is an ongoing journey of ups and downs.
