Two family restaurants that you can get reservations for are Teatro Del Rio and Xin Gao. Teatro Del Rio is a dinner and show with a fixed menu. The restaurant offers a six course menu and a signature welcome drink (alcoholic and non-alcoholic offered). As you watch the show the food is brought to you. The food is a bit adventurous and substations are not offered, although kids do have a tamed menu. The signature is drink is amazing (which seems to be a theme at Hotel Xcaret) The Mexico y Ole show is Tuedays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, which is the one that we saw. Caribbean Show is Monday, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Overall the show is great, but can be a bit long for children. They do a great job to not allow any lulls in the service. Overall I'd say 4.5/10. Xin Gao is the Japanese restaurant with a couple of different presentation techniques. We went with the teppanyaki show and it was stellar. The show was amazing and the food was very good. A reservation for the teppanyaki is a must. This restaurant really stands out. Definitely a must do when you go. easily a 5/5.
