The season never ends in Yinzburgh! 🖤💛 October 20, 2013 — Steelers Grind Out Classic Win Over Ravens Behind Suisham’s Clutch Kick PITTSBURGH — The Steelers weren’t dead yet. After an 0-4 start that had the fanbase in panic mode, Pittsburgh pulled off its second straight win — this one a vintage-style 19-16 grind over the rival Ravens. And it all came down to kicker Shaun Suisham, who stayed perfect on the season and drilled a 42-yarder as time expired to seal it. The guy was money all day — 4-for-4 on field goals, just like the week before against the Jets. No flash, no drama — just clutch. “Hopefully we can start stacking wins,” Suisham said, keeping it lowkey in a locker room that was anything but. Ben Roethlisberger was efficient, going 17-of-23 for 160 yards and a TD, including a perfectly placed ball to Heath Miller and two big completions to Antonio Brown on the final drive. Rookie RB Le’Veon Bell had his breakout game too, running for 93 yards and showing the kind of patience and power Steelers fans had been hoping for. Baltimore didn’t make it easy. Joe Flacco led a long 4th-quarter drive to tie the game with under 2 minutes left, but Big Ben answered right back. Emmanuel Sanders nearly took the kickoff to the house, but he stepped out at the 37. No matter.. the offense marched, drained the clock, and let Suisham walk it off. This wasn’t the bloodbath of the 2000s.. no Ray Lewis, no Ed Reed, no Jerome Bettis highlight reel moments. But the tension was still real. Both teams were chasing the Bengals and clinging to playoff hopes. The win kept the Steelers alive at 2-4, while the defending champion Ravens dropped to 3-4 and headed into the bye week looking lost. LaMarr Woodley summed it up best: “At 0-4, a lot of people counted us out. We still have a shot.” Other Notes from the Game: Big Ben led his 28th career game-winning drive in the 4th quarter. The Steelers racked up 141 yards on the ground — their best rushing day in almost a year. Todd Haley even lined Bell up in the wildcat, with Roethlisberger split out wide. Baltimore tried a sneaky onside kick in the 3rd quarter but got flagged twice. Pittsburgh lost RT Marcus Gilbert early with a quad injury. It wasn’t pretty. It wasn’t flashy. But it was Steelers-Ravens... and it felt like the beginning of a pulse in Pittsburgh’s 2013 season. I tried to clean up the audio to the best of my ability. So even though it’s not great, it is much better than it was The season never ends in Yinzburghh. 🔥 Road to 100K — Like, comment, and subscribe for more Steelers videos.. DAILY!!!!
