An expedition 2,500 meters above sea level. For this documentary on the Cadura shower cabin series, we traveled to the Roseg and Val d’Anniviers (Zinal) glaciers in Switzerland to explore ice caves that inspired the design by Husarska Design Studio for Sanswiss. Reaching the caves required five-hour climbs in deep snow at 2,600 m altitude. Every kilogram of equipment mattered. We worked with lightweight Sony A7S cameras, carefully selected zoom lenses, mobile LED lighting, and expedition backpacks designed to withstand extreme alpine conditions. In dialogue with Sanswiss executive board member Urs Matthias Gasser, we documented how natural ice structures informed the cabin’s minimalist language. Cold temperatures, limited battery life, restricted luggage capacity. A whole adventure of its kind. This film is both a design story and a production case study in extreme conditions.
