Last week I rode to Chandrampalli Dam, Chincholi with a fellow biker from Kalaburgi. We set out to explore some places near Kalaburgi. It was my first ride after the lockdown, and I have never been happier. I felt really relieved breathing the fresh air outside and it was an amazing ride altogether. This is part 1 of the 2 part video. After the dam, we explored GottamGutta/ Ethipothala falls and rode through one of the toughest offroad in Kalaburgi. The road went through Chincholi wildlife sanctuary and it was one crazy offroad. Do watch this video till the end and don't forget to LIKE, SHARE and SUBSCRIBE. Some facts about the place: 1. It is the first dryland wildlife sanctuary in South India. Drylands are areas of naturally low rainfall. They are home to many threatened & rare species. This area was recognized as a sanctuary to protect the prime wolf and hyena habitat. Apart from the wolf and the hyena, the forest is known to house wildlife like panther, boar, antelope, black buck, common fox, fruit bat, snakes and mongoose. 2. This is the only area in the Hyderabad-Karnataka region that has similar features as the Western Ghats. Medicinal herbs and sandalwood trees, red sanders and floral species like Anogessus Latifolia, Chloroxylon, Bosweellia Serrat and Madhuca Indica are widely scattered.
