When I heard that King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard was going to play at the Madonna Inn, I knew I had to go. I threw the camping gear in the car and headed south with my buddy Vinny with the objective to stay at Williams Hill in California's central valley, about a half hour outside of San Louis Obispo. The next day we drove to the whimsical roadside resort to have our faces melted and relax in the pool before Vin had to head back to work and I headed further south to Oceano Dunes State Vehicular Recreation Area.
