Anorexia recovery – Going “All in” in eating disorder recovery & is anything less than doing “Full in recovery” really anorexia recovery? This vlog is all about the idea of doing “full in recovery” or going “all in” in eating disorder recovery. I’ve seen this A LOT on social media recently so I wanted to share my thoughts on it. Basically, I don’t agree with this idea that All in Recovery is the best and only way to do anorexia recovery. Everyone’s recovery is different and there is no right or wrong way to do recovery. If you go All In and do recovery that way because it works for you, then great. But others who don’t approach anorexia recovery in that way are still doing recovery. For me, anorexia recovery is about taking a series of steps. I do not jump in at the deep end. But that doesn’t mean that I, or anyone else who approaches anorexia recovery in this way, is not really doing recovery. We are doing recovery that works for us, like those that do Full In Recovery do what works for them. I just really don’t like what I see on social media with people saying “I’m not doing quasi-recovery, I’m not sticking at a half way house, I am doing All-In Recovery.” And they eat this, do that and basically portray that if you are not approaching recovery like they are, then you are not really doing anorexia recovery. I know what I am saying might be controversial but I felt important to share in case there are other people like me, who don’t approach recovery in that way and who might be made to feel like there recovery is invalid, or not real. Because your recovery is real. It doesn’t matter how you approach recovery, if you are trying, you are doing recovery. I mention in my blog about a blog I wrote on this topic which you can find here: https://www.bexquinlan.com/2021/02/fu...
