« Warning » This video has nothing to do with politics at all, So please express your opinions politely. « Description » “New Year Greetings” is the 13th royal composition by His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX). He composed it in December 1951, after returning to Bangkok and residing at Chitralada Royal Villa in the Dusit Palace. With the royal intention of bestowing New Year blessings upon the Thai people through music, His Majesty composed the song “Phorn Pee Mai” (New Year Greetings) and graciously commanded His Royal Highness Prince Chakraband Pensiri to write the lyrics in the form of New Year wishes. The song was then bestowed upon two musical ensembles: the Chulalongkorn University Student Orchestra, which performed it at Chulalongkorn University. the Suntharaporn Band, which performed it at Sala Chalermthai. These performances took place on New Year’s Day, Tuesday, 1 January 1952. Since then, “Phorn Pee Mai” (New Year Greetings) has continued to be performed every year up to the present day.
