In this video, teachers will get an idea about how to teach the topic of heredity. Students will learn traits and characteristics. They will understand that inherited traits are transferred to the next generation through DNA, which is present in all cells. They will draw and describe the structure of the DNA double helix, identify that a segment of DNA at a specific location and with a specific sequence of nucleotides is called a gene, and recognize that a gene is a unit of heredity and the functional unit of DNA that encodes information for individual inherited traits.
