KFRC 610 San Francisco - The Cosmic Muffin / Darrell Martinie - May 1981 Darrell Blair-Edward Martinie a.k.a. The Cosmic Muffin was a Boston based professional astrologer and radio personality. In 1973, Martinie telephoned into Charles Laquidara on WBCN to correct his mistaken astrological reading. Laquidara would then give Martinie his start in radio as well as his nickname "The Cosmic Muffin". His reports were eventually syndicated to stations nationwide. Martinie would end each broadcast with the phrase "It is a wise person who rules the stars, a fool who is ruled by them - Over and out." It was a popular radio feature from the 1970s, through the 1990s. Darrell passed on in 2006. This air check features The Cosmic Muffin of KFRC San Francisco.
