The Chinese People's Liberation Army Red Eagle Aerobatic Team was established in August 2011. It is affiliated with the Air Force Aviation University and is located in Changchun, Jilin Province. It mainly uses the K-8 advanced trainer aircraft independently developed by China Aviation Industry Hongdu Group (Nanchang) to perform aerobatic missions. As one of the three major aerobatic teams of the Air Force, its members are flight instructors who have the qualifications of special-grade and first-grade pilots. Among the 18 members, there are 3 special-grade pilots and 15 first-grade pilots. Among them, 8 people participated in the 2009 National Day parade in the capital.The aerobatic team is characterized by "low altitude and agile roll".
