Watergate Bay BEAT DOWN! - In-water SURF Photography - Wednesdays Wave Ep 2

If this surfing and surf photography game has taught me anything, it's that nothing is perfect and you've got to work with the hand that nature has dealt you. So waking up at 5:30am to nothing but white cloud cover in the sky didn't leave me feeling the most optimistic about the "sunrise" session that I'd had planned. That on top of the anticipation of getting out in the biggest swell to date with the camera left me feeling a little nervous. But with plenty of people getting suited up in the car park, I soon plucked up the courage to don my gear and head down to the water. The first session far succeeded my expectations, I cam back to the van with way more photos that I thought I was going to get. I was even more surprised when I got home and opened them up in my editing suite. The same cannot be said for the second session however, a good old fashioned Watergate Bay beatdown. For 40 plus minutes, me, Sonny and Zach attempted to get out back, I struggled and I didn't even have a board. Thanks for watching, if you enjoyed then you know what to do.
