We’re back on the road and heading to Italy for one of our biggest and most memorable adventures yet 🗺️. In this film, we travel across northern Italy with our wheelchair-accessible touring caravan, exploring lakes, cities, mountains, and iconic landmarks. 😍 📍 Here's our itinerary: 🇮🇹 Lake Maggiore... Our adventure begins on the shores of Lake Maggiore, where we base ourselves at Camping Village Lago Maggiore (Caravan & Motorhome Club site). From here we explore: – Laveno – lakeside strolls, ferry terminal & incredible gelato 🍧 – Lake Maggiore Car Ferry – crossing the lake with the car – Intra – gateway to the mountains – Mount Mottarone – panoramic viewpoints high above the lakes 🏔️ – Villa Taranto Botanical Gardens – accessible routes & stunning views – Baveno – lakeside pizza at sunset 🍕 – Stresa – evening promenade and gelato by the lake 🏖 Venice & the Venetian Lagoon... Next, we tow east to the Cavallino-Treporti Peninsula, staying at Camping Ca’ Savio – one of the largest campsites we’ve ever visited, with accessible facilities, beach mats, and beach wheelchairs. From here, we travel to Venice via: Punta Sabbioni – Water bus (vaporetto) terminal 14 Line ⛴️ In Venice, we explore: 📸 – St Mark’s Square (Piazza San Marco) – Basilica di San Marco (wheelchair accessible entrance) ⛪️ – Doge’s Palace (lift access to most areas) 🛗 – Bridge of Sighs – Venice’s accessible bridge network & hidden side streets – Waterfront dining sampling the best Italian cuisine 🍝 We also share top tips about: ♿️ – Accessible water buses – Accessible bridge routes – Varying ramp gradients due to tide levels 🏔️ Leaving the lagoon behind, we head north into the mountains and stay at Camping Sexten (Camping Sexton) – a five-star alpine campsite surrounded by peaks From here we visit: – Three Peaks of Lavaredo viewpoint – Tre Cime di Lavaredo toll road (pre-booked access, free for Blue Badge holders), panoramic car parks at over 7,700 ft – Lake Braies (Lago di Braies) – lakeside paths & accessible viewpoints – Cascata del Pissandolo – a spectacular roadside waterfall 🏞️ Have you visited Italy?
