LYTHAM ST ANNES | Walking Tour of the seafront in Lytham St Annes near Blackpool England | 4K Walk and tour of Lytham St Anne's in Lancashire Also watch our fantastic tour of Blackpool here 👉    • BLACKPOOL WALK | Blackpool Seafront walk f...   We were in Blackpool recently for a tour of the Blackpool seafront and thought it would be fun to take our cameras the short trip down the coast to Lytham St Annes for a (very windy!) walk around the seafront here. When we arrived we parked our car in the carpark right in front of Lytham St Annes Pier and had a short walk along the promenade and beach and back. In this video we take you right along from the Ornamental Gardens to Lytham Pier and then onto the Les Dawson statue that stands in the happiness gardens here. Lytham St Annes is a seaside town near Blackpool in Lancashire, and is probably most famous for the golf there, but we wanted to see if there's more to this place than just the golf championships! Happy to report that Lytham St Annes is a lovely traditional little seaside town, with a fabulous Ornamental Lake Garden, beach huts, a miniature railway, a swimming pool, a great pier and of course the famous Lytham St Annes beach! We begin our walk on the sand dunes and sandy beach near the Beach Cafe Fylde and make our way along towards South Promenade before taking a left turn into the beautiful Ornamental Lake Garden opposite the The Grand Hotel. As we continue along South Promenade we pass the little chippers junior golf academy, and Splash Water Park and then head down past St Annes Miniature Railyway and a Toby Carvery before we arrive at Lytham St Annes Beach with it's famous beach huts. We head further down the seafront to the RNLI Lytham St Annes Lifeboat Station which looks fantastic, and then round the man made lake to The View fish and chips restaurant which again looks great! We are now at Lytham St Annes Garden and reach the St Annes Lifeboat Memorial from 1886 which stands looking out to sea. Next up we reach one of the most famous tourist attractions here, the Lytham St Annes Pier. St Anne's Pier was opened to the public in 1885 and cost a whopping £18,000 to construct! The pier was 914 foot long and was very popular in the Victorian era. In fact steam boats used to come to St Anne's pier to take passengers down to Blackpool and back!
