FIRE THROUGHOUT a Bronx Supermarket. FDNY Battles a 4th Alarm !!

~4th Alarm~ Date: 2/22/2022 Location: Archer Street off White Plains Road Tuesday evening around rush hour time shoppers inside of Bravo supermarket began to notice smoke wafting through the store. As its density increased the store owners evacuated customers and called 911. Engine 90 arrived first and transmitted the 10-75 for fire in a supermarket. Members made a push into the basement to extinguish the main body of fire. After a successful knockdown in the basement companies above encountered an increasingly heavy smoke condition indicating the fire had already made its way upwards through the walls to the upper floors. As the smoke began to push from the supermarket it made visibility almost impossible. The Incident Commander determined the risks to be too great and ordered all firefighters out of the building and to switch to an exterior attack. At about this time heavy fire began to vent out of windows on the second floor rear of the supermarket. Eventually Tower Ladders were put into operation and hours later the fire was placed under control.
