Have an idea for a video? Send it here:    • REQUEST BOX!   After seeing the GMTV page on the Audiovisual Identity Database, I decided to do a logo history on both GMTV and TV-am. This is also my first ITV logo history in three years. Dedicated to TV archivist Oliver Ashmole-Day of the ADC TV Collection. Notes: This video will not include EVERY single variant. I decided to add my favorite variants, including variants included in other logo histories on TV-am and GMTV, because if I added every variant, then it would be unwatchable. Also, not every variant could be found. I will delete any comments saying "You forgot [variation not included]" or any other criticism. GMTV2 lasted from 1999-2010 according to many sources. I've decided to add the date when it started and ended, not necessarily the corporate logo itself. It was rather hard finding footage from that channel. Sources have claimed that the 2004 GM idents with the presenters were only used in 2004, but after much research, I found out that they were used as late as early 2005. This will not include Daybreak or Good Morning Britain. GMTV, now legally known as ITV Breakfast Broadcasting Limited, was the name of the national ITV morning television contractor/licensee, broadcasting in the United Kingdom from 1st January 1993 to 3rd September 2010. It replaced TV-am, which ran from 1st February 1983 to 31st December 1992. GMTV transmitted daily from 6 am with their weekday magazine until 8:25 (9:25 on Friday), followed by GMTV with Lorraine (Monday to Thursday), until the regional ITV franchises took over at 9:25 am. My next video may be an updated logo history of Viacom Productions.
