Beastmen roared, shadows trembled, Steel met monsters in pale moonlight. My father fell, yet fate spared me, Guided by arrows through haunted trees. In that cradle of terror and ash, The Empire first called out to me. Verse 1: They crowned me in Altdorf’s holy temple, 2502, the bells shook stone and sky. “Summon the Elector Counts!” I thundered, For unity none could deny. No decadence, no idle indulgence— Not while Chaos breathed on the wind. “We are Sigmar’s heirs!” I vowed And marched north with my loyal kin. The Norse came like relentless wolves, Longships slicing through winter seas. But my Celestial wizards foresaw the storm, A future dark as prophecies. Swordsmen braced as cannons thundered, Iron smoke filled Nordland’s air. I led the charge through fire and ruin, And left no raider standing there. Pre-Chorus: Though the world shakes under Chaos thunder, And omens stain the dawn with dread— I lift Ghal Maraz, the hammer immortal, And march where even angels fear to tread. Chorus: For the Emperor— For the Empire— For the men who stand beside me in the fire! I roar above the storm-split sky: “To me, men of the Empire! Tonight we do not die!” From Altdorf’s walls to northern sands, From Norduin’s field to distant lands, I swear by Sigmar’s guiding hand— While I live, I guard this land. Verse 2: On Deathclaw’s wings I strike the heavens, His battle-cry splits dawn in two. He’s mine from egg to roaring glory, Our bond forged strong and true. We clashed with Bretonnia at Norduin, The Field of Blood a crimson sea. Against Spleenrippa’s raging WAAAGH!, My courage held the line for me. Against Morkhal-hai’s hateful armies, I shattered their champion’s helm. With one great swing of Ghal Maraz I broke the will of that dark realm. Pre-Chorus: Let the north howl with twisted gods, Let Beastmen rise from the haunted green— My will stands firm, the throne unbroken, For Sigmar watches all unseen. Chorus: For the Emperor For the Empire For the soldiers who forge their souls in fire! The Old World trembles, but still I cry: “We are Sigmar’s heirs! Rise up—we do not die!” Through cannon smoke and wizard’s flame, Through Helborg’s charge and honored name, I swear by battle’s harsh command— While I live, I guard this land. Verse 3: Yet peace is shaped by ink and parchment, By tempered voice, not steel alone. The Colleges grew beneath my guidance, Magic strengthened every throne. When Stirland and Talabecland simmered With hatred older than my crown, I rode to Talabheim with patience And hammered their stubborn quarrels down. Verse 4: The Merchant Guilds of mighty Altdorf Feuded in greed’s polluted tide. The Stink Act passed not by virtue, But because each sought to wound the pride Of rivals clawing for power’s shadow A battlefield of subtler kind. I fought with law, with tact, with judgment, As sharp as any sword you’d find. When Gausser reached for Hochland’s borders, Ambition burning beneath frost-cold skies, I sent Gelt with Chamon’s alchemy— A quiet stroke both bold and wise. He turned their golden mercenary pay Into worthless lead before their eyes. And though the Count sought bloody justice, The mage had vanished into sunrise. Pre-Chorus: Through war and council, crown and burden, The Empire leans upon my hand. I feel its weight in every heartbeat Yet proudly answer its command. Chorus: For the Emperor For the Empire For the hearts that kindle hope in fire! I lift my standard to the cracking sky, And call again: “To me, men of the Empire! Stand firm—we do not die!” Through storm and night, through beast and brand, Through every desperate battle stand, I swear by Ghal Maraz in my hand As long as I live… I guard this land. Outro: So let the dark return in shadow, Let Chaos whisper from the frozen waste. I am Karl Franz, Sigmar’s Heir, And destiny rides with urgent haste. While Deathclaw soars and my soul stands tall For Empire, for justice, for you all… For the Emperor… and for the Empire.
