At the age of 19, Fanny Everard began to take a close interest in her daily use of plastic and how unreasonable it is. She took part in the recent creation of the What About Waste movement (WAW) with her friends Manuela and Betty last October, whose ambition is to ensure awareness of the use of plastic in our societies, with their emblematic Strawaws reusable straw. She calls out people to follow her lead and encourage people to create their own WAW for other single use plastic items. Fanny Everard is a business management student at KULeuven.
