"The Hunchback of Notre Dame II" was an American animated musical film, and the seventh film in the Disney Animated Sequels series. It is also a direct-to-video sequel to the 1996 animated Disney classic, "The Hunchback of Notre Dame", and was based on Victor Hugo's novel. Quasimodo (now an accepted member of Parisian society) realised that Madellaine had deceived him despite her pleas that she didn't intend to and angrily broke off their relationship after the La Fidéle bell had been stolen from the Notre Dame Cathedral by Sarousch, the owner of a circus troupe.
