If you take a screenshot and share the QR code, it automatically gets recognized as a regular connection instead. Unfortunately, that’s the reality. I still think they need to significantly revise the scope of Trusted Connections, because not everyone knows each other offline. So even though the term “Trusted Connection” sounds nice, it feels almost meaningless in an online environment. Maybe it only works if you actually know the person and can scan each other’s QR codes live — for example, during a video call.
