Most of the fittings you are going to use in a pvc pipe irrigation installation are going to be fittings with 90 degree angles. So you are going to want to connect your trenches with 90 degree angles as much as possible. This will prevent you from using extra fittings, which will cut down on cost, and it will allow the pipe and fittings to go together smoothly with out any binds or parts forced into weird angles. If you get into a situation where one fitting is not going to work because the angles is not 90 degrees and is off a tad, you can 90 up or down and then use another 90 and turn it at the angle that you need.
