Understanding De Novo Cholesterol Biosynthesis Pathways in Head and Neck Cancer

The GW School of Medicine and Health Sciences' Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Medicine and the Office of Integrative Medicine and Health hosted a joint GW Biomedical Cross-disciplinary Seminar Series (CDSS)/Department Seminar on "Understanding De Novo Cholesterol Biosynthesis Pathways in Head and Neck Cancer" with Jiyoung Lee, PhD, an assistant professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine at the GW School of Medicine and Health Sciences. The talk is a joint effort organized by the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine and the Office of Integrative Medicine and Health. Dr. Lee’s research focuses on understanding the molecular mechanism by which metastasis regulators modify gene expression and functional phenotypes including tumorigenesis, metastasis, and metabolism in breast cancer. The 2023 -2024 Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Medicine Lecture Series is supported by the McCormick Genomic & Proteomic Center. The CDSS is supported by departmental funding and the generosity of Ellen J.
