Using Cases to Teach Lean

In this webinar, Mike Dixon associate professor in the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business at Utah State University, will discuss teaching Lean principles using case studies. Two examples will be given. First, a traditional graduate school-type case written about O.C. Tanner will be introduced. This case provides students with examples of Lean principles and teaches how core concepts of the Shingo Model allow O.C. Tanner to solve problems and engage employees. Second, a non-traditional case study using videos produced by Paul Akers, founder of FastCap, will introduce students to various aspects of Lean.
