After the last few 360 videos in Nagoya, I leave Nagoya Parco and head out into the city while waiting for my entry time at the Kamen Rider Kuuga Exhibition. I am pretty hungry and also exhausted after taking the early morning Shinkansen, so I try to stay active and awake while exploring. Before looking for a place to eat, I decide to search for a local shrine and end up discovering Shōjōji Temple, a quiet and beautiful spot hidden right in the middle of the city. I take some time to walk around the peaceful garden area and check out the statues and paths around the temple grounds. As I am leaving the temple, two friendly locals stop me and we try to have a conversation. They speak Japanese and I speak English, so I attempt to use Google Translate to help. It gets a little awkward trying to communicate, but it was still a fun and memorable interaction and a nice moment connecting with people while traveling. After that, the adventure continues as I head back into the streets of Nagoya and begin the search for a good lunch spot. With this 360 video, you can look all around using your phone, VR headset, or mouse and explore Nagoya right alongside me. Don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe. Have you ever had a funny or awkward translation moment while traveling?
