I hadn’t intended on taking videos on my first day in Saharanpur, but when opportunity knocks… About a mile from our hotel my husband and I stopped for freshly squeezed Sugar Cane Juice. It was a hot day — well over 100 degrees. We looked around, sizing up the city center scene. We spotted a place in the shade across the street, down just a short way. When we managed to safely cross the busy intersection, with some assistance from a traffic cop, I welcomed a rest in the shade. It was there that I documented what was passing by me. It is a different look at pedestrians navigating traffic in India and their ability to watch me while they are dodging vehicles.
