Grand Canyon Railway Railfest 2019 Steam Doubleheader

On September 21st, 2019, the Grand Canyon Railway in Williams, Arizona hosted a steam doubleheader train (first time since 2016) accompanied by a BNSF OCS (officer car special) excursion from the Williams Depot to the south rim of the Grand Canyon. This was to recognize and celebrate the centennial of the founding of the Grand Canyon National Park. I and a friend of mine (cameramanrailfan) made our way to Williams to catch the BNSF train departing Williams early in the morning, and then to see the stars of the show back up out of the shops. After I had tickets to ride up, so I did, hence the absence of a chase in the morning. After detraining, I caught the engines running into the maintenance yard at the south rim. Finally, I and cameraman chased it back down from the village, catching it at Quivero along the way. Then, while watching them reverse the train and the wye after the long day, we had some fortunate timing from an intermodel friend on the BNSF Pheonix sub. Thanks for watching everyone!
