More than 600 pupils from primary and secondary schools across Stirling took part in this year’s Stirling Schools Cross Country Championships at Queen Victoria School in Dunblane. Across 12 race categories, pupils from P6 to S6 represented 30 primary schools, seven secondary schools, Fairview and QVS. Despite cold January conditions, runners showed impressive determination, school pride and resilience throughout the full day of competition. The event, delivered by the Active Schools team, continues to be one of Active Stirling’s flagship school sport events, encouraging participation, confidence and enjoyment in physical activity. Teachers, staff and volunteers created a supportive atmosphere that helped carry every runner to the finish.
