Fuel Priming System For Mechanical Fuel Injection

Here’s a simple electric fuel priming system for a Hilborn mechanical fuel setup. I decided to go with this setup because I don’t always have the same person helping me at the track and therefore I don’t have to teach someone to prime my engine with a squirt bottle (into the stacks) each weekend. I simply press the fuel pump switch until there’s enough fuel to start it up. The simple electric fuel pump makes 6psi of pressure and with the one way valve I know that the mechanical fuel pump won’t push fuel backwards into the primer system.
