The 2nd in our series of live videos from our headline show at The Old Baths in Hackney Wick, London, in March 2020 just days before the lockdown. These are our arrangements of three traditional Jewish tunes from Eastern Europe. The first is one of our favourite tunes, ‘Dobriden’ (good day), a traditional listening tune at a Jewish wedding party from the mammoth ‘Beregovski’ tune collection. The second and third melodies come from Maramures in Transylvania and would have been played at Purim. Thanks to Jake Shulman-Ment for teaching us the Maramures tunes!
