In today's video, I will show you how to fix your damaged paintbrush! This is an art hack that trust me, you will probably need at some stage in your art journey, and I will take you through my simple, easy, "step-by-step" process that I have tried and tested for you myself - and IT ACTUALLY WORKS, even for the most damaged brush! So, enjoy the video and please share it with your art friends so that they can rescue their damaged paintbrushes, too! :) I've seen a lot of misinformation about this online, with some people suggesting that you use hot water 😱😱😱 PLEASE DO NOT use hot water on your paintbrushes, as this could potentially RUIN them!! It can cause the glue that holds in the bristles to be damaged and lost, and then you will have a BALD BRUSH.. oh wait.. that's called a stick 🙃 🤣 which will not be helpful to you at all when you are painting! This is a gentle method to restore your paintbrush and ensure you do not damage it in the process! See chapters below - 00:00 Introduction and "before" 00:54 The Solution? 1:19 You Will Need.. 1:42 Step 1 - make your soap "paste" using the spray bottle 2:04 Step 2 - work the soap "paste" through the bristles of the brush 3:07 Step 3 - leave it to dry 2:12 Step 4 - once hardened and dry, simply rinse (preferably in a jar of water)! 3:28 Step 5 - gently shape the damp brush into shape and allow the brush to dry completely before inspecting the bristles. If your brush is not very damaged, it will dry to the desired shape and no further steps are needed - but not in this particular case, as you will see! 3:58 Step 6 - do this only if you can still see splayed bristles - apply hairspray and leave to dry overnight. 4:23 Step 7 - the next day, break the hairspray cast, rinse, allow to dry flat, and on a raised surface. 4:54 Step 8 - the final result once dry! GOOD AS NEW! Also, just letting you know that I've recently uploaded my ballpoint pens video! If you think you need a huge amount of expensive art supplies to get started, I've made this video especially with YOU in mind! I will show you what you can create with minimal supplies, so I hope you watch that soon, and you are inspired to start sketching, too! 🤗🤗🤗 • Ballpoint Pens Mini Haul - Unboxing, Swatc... Hi little bees, and welcome to our apiary, a place where we grow, nurture, and improve our art skills together! I'm Dr. Bee, and I'm here to teach you all things art-related, so that you can experience the thrill of creating art that you'll be proud to call your own! Whether you're a beginner or more advanced, join me to see how you can be part of our community, of our symphony of bees! Although I've always been interested in art, I ended up choosing a very science-based career. In late 2016, I started trying to learn how to create my own art pieces myself. I soon found out that there really is no talent involved, it is just a process, just like cooking or anything else! I think my scientific brain helped me to realise that as long as we can break things down into small, manageable steps, and follow a procedure, we can get to the visual endpoint that we are looking for! I'm so excited to show you how, and would love to share my art journey AND be a part of yours! Welcome ❤️ All music is from You Tube's Audio Library.
