We spent two days exploring Zion National Park. We chose to hike Emerald Pools Trail the first day and the Canyon Overlook Trail the second day. Both trails are relatively easy compared to other trails in the park, but provide breath taking views and are great options if you are going to be hiking all week and don't want to get too tired or sore! The Emerald Pools Trail actually has three sections (lower, middle, and upper pools) and can take anywhere from 2-4 hours while hiking. This trail is roughly a 2 mile in-and-out depending on the loops you choose. It begins with crossing over the Virgin River and ends in a Sandstone Amphitheater with plenty of shade to relax before hiking back down. The Canyon Overlook Trail is a POPULAR trail with LIMITED parking. You can find a parking lot just outside of the trailhead (located to the left of the Mt. Carmel tunnel entrance), but you might have to wait in the tunnel line before getting to it and is usually full on a busy day. We chose to park on the hill leading down to the trailhead, but please make sure you ONLY park in designated parking areas! We chose to hike the Canyon Overlook Trail because of the short length and rewarding view. It is a little narrow and exposed at some points, so be careful if hiking with children! Overall, the trail is roughly 1 mile in-and-out and can take 30 minutes - 1 hour. From the view point at the end you get an AMAZING view of the Main Canyon and down into Pine Creek. We hope you guys are enjoying our videos and as always, thanks for following our journey!! Chapters: 0:00 Intro 1:40 Zion National Park - East Entrance 1:56 Checkerboard Mesa 3:08 Mt.
