EASY RESTAURANT STYLE NAAN RECIPE || Peshwari Naan & Plain Naan - Tawa Naan (Without Oven) In this video, we show you an Easy Restaurant Style Naan Recipe. You can make two types of Naan with this recipe, Peshwari Naan and Plain Naan. Peshwari Naan is a sweet Naan bread recipe that contains a deliciously sweet filling and it used to be extremely popular when we had our restaurant. In our video, we show you how you can use the same Naan Dough to make both plain butter naan and Peshwari (or Peshawri) Naan on the Tawa (cast-iron pan) without an oven. For the Naan Dough recipe, you will need: 1 sachet yeast (7g) activated in 50ml warm water and 1 tbs sugar (for about 10 minutes) 2 eggs 1 tsp salt 1 tbs sugar 1 level tsp nigella seeds (kalwanji) 4 cups warm milk 1 cup strong white bread flour enough self-raising flour to form into a dough (we used about 7-8 cups) For the Peshwari Naan filling, you will need: 1 tbs desiccated coconut 1 tbs almond powder 1 tbs chopped raisins 1/2 tsp cardamom powder 1 tsp fennel powder (saunf) 1 tsp jaggery/gur (or sugar) about 1 tbs single cream (just enough to bring the ingredients together, we do not want this mixture to be too wet) Garnish the Plain Naan with butter, ghee or garlic butter. To make garlic butter, grate 3-4 cloves of garlic and saute with 30g of butter for 2-3 minutes until golden brown, then apply to the naan. We also sprinkle Za'atar (Lebanese spice mix) on the naan, but you can also add fresh coriander leaves Garnish the Pehwari Naan with butter or ghee. *The Naan should be made on a Tawa (a cast-iron pan). It will not work on a non-stick pan, as the aim to ensure the naan sticks to the pan (so it does not fall onto the flame). Naan is traditionally made in a Tandoor (clay oven) but in this video, we show you how you can make restaurant-style naan without an oven or tandoor, and just by using the Tawa.
