Flyby through Arp 273 in Space Engine 0.990. Don't forget to see other video from this series: • Space ambients | 145 hours | Screensaver,... Arp 273 is a pair of interacting galaxies, 300 million light years away in the constellation Andromeda. It was first described in the Atlas of Peculiar Galaxies, compiled by Halton Arp in 1966. The larger of the spiral galaxies, known as UGC 1810, is about five times more massive than the smaller galaxy. It has a disc that is tidally distorted into a rose-like shape by the gravitational pull of the companion galaxy nearby it, known as UGC 1813. The smaller galaxy shows distinct signs of active star formation at its nucleus, and it is thought that the smaller galaxy has actually passed through the larger one. In the video, camera path goes through UGC 1813. Behind its galactic plane there is a UGC 1810. Speed of camera in this video is around 3,05 lighyears per second 3,05 ly/sec = 96 244 444 c = 111 329 579 600 000 000 kph Lenght of camera path is around 110 000 lightyears
