Hiking Peak District in strong winds

We headed out to the Peak District with little to no plans, other than to explore Higger Tor. Mother nature treated us to a refreshing strong wind all day which made our exploring that little bit more interesting. Stumbled upon Stannage Edge and watched the climbers while eating our breakfast. The Peak District national park is neglected by us personally but seeing all the camper vans staying the night in remote locations in the hills, along with the historic interesting sites the Peaks have to offer, made us realise we need to take advantage of the closest national park to home. Next time, we plan to wild camp in the tent or the van to extend our time up here and have a good long hike up over the numerous tops to take in the glorious views. Finished off with pizza and a pint in Castleton within the Hope valley before heading home via Winnats pass.
