--------------------------------------------------------------------- Remote beer tap control :D https://paypal.me/hfzytreviews --------------------------------------------------------------------- And another set of e-stats that I got cheaply. They needed some cleaning and I had to remove panel rails to move it upwards (they tend to slide down with time - these scenarios were produced in 1999!). The panels were fine, but the capacitors in crossover were old and - honestly - cheap. So I've replaced some of them. As I wanted to make this as wallet friendly as possible with best effect I've bypassed the 22uF Bennics with 0.22uF Jantzen Silvers (instead of just replacing them as this would be 4 times pricier). I've replaced cheap old 100 and 330uF electrolytes with same value new Mundorfs, but I've also added cheap film bypasses: Audyn 1.0 and 3.33 uF. They are burning in now, but just after ~30h I can tell that this was good move: there is airiness and detail in treble, they are smooth and flow naturally, effortlessly. Very, very significant change. The bass is deep, fast and resonant, without any bloat. Previously it was kinda dull and weak, I think the old caps were in bad shape. All in all a very good and significant upgrade to already great speakers - well spent 50USD. There speakers are 22 years old now and I got them for ~600USD. So in total, 650. In order to get something sounding as good as these now I'd have to spend 3000-3750 USD.
