Chasing RBMN

On May 25, 2024 Reading & Northern steam locomotive #2102 pulled the first Iron Horse Ramble of the year from Reading Outer Station to Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania. The ride covered the southern half of Reading & Northern's mainline for 60 miles in each direction. There was a nearly 4-hour long layover in Jim Thorpe for passengers to enjoy the town while the crew turned the consist on the wye and serviced the locomotive. This was the only Reading to Jim Thorpe Ramble scheduled for 2024; the remaining two will depart from Nesquehoning and go to Tunkhannock on 6/22 and Pittston on 8/17.
