Full Arch Implants...The Basics

There is a lot to full arch implants! Research heavily before you do all on 4 dental implants. This video should give you a great starting point to learn more about replacing all of your teeth. Hi, I'm Dr. Amin. When it comes to full arch replacement, full mouth dental implants, a lot of times the decision isn't made on money or number of implants or all these reasons. Oftentimes you're in this situation because you've lost several teeth, you've had some root canals that have failed or crowns that have come off, or maybe some implants that even aren't quite working out, where they're failing or losing bone. And sometimes the full arch solution is the best way, because it can replace the entire smile. It can replace the bite. It can replace really your life in a lot of ways. A lot of people come to me because it's not that they want teeth, it's they really want a better life for themselves or their spouse or their mom or their dad. And maybe to get back into dating or to just not have the embarrassment of having a smile that is not as pretty or handsome as they would like, And to be able to feel confident in what they can chew, on and not have to feel like they have to take out their teeth and wash them, or hide their smile at all. So it's not about necessarily loose dentures all the time. It's usually, you know, a patient that may be in their fifties or 60 years old, sometimes younger and sometimes older, where the remaining teeth just aren't that great anymore. And it costs way too much to replace all the teeth with root canals and crowns. And often that ends up in failure as well. So the fixed arch solutions that I provide, you can replace all of the teeth, the top and the bottom simultaneously, all in a single day, with a really customized smile. And it's really well, well done. I take a lot of pride in what I do, and I want it done the right way the first time. Oftentimes, because I use advanced technologies like facial scanning, or we turn your whole face into 3D and scanning your teeth and scanning the bones and make a customized smile for you. It's not painful at all. You'll sleep through the whole process. And even my patients that have zygomatic or pterygoid implants, those go into the cheek bones or back by the wisdom teeth, they don't have a lot of pain afterwards. And most of the time by the second day, they wonder why they didn't do this years ago. It can oftentimes erase years of dental problems, and just kind of get you back to where you were before. And that's really, really important. Because how we feel about ourselves on the inside is really projected outwards to the ones that we love and our work partners, et cetera. So if it's something you've been considering, it's really a great way to go. My emphasis would be to do it right the first time. Do your due diligence on who you have do a full arch procedure. In my practice, I said, most patients are start to finish in just a few months, but the procedure is actually only one day, but there's a lot of preoperative workup where we'll do the scans and predesign your smile, have you look at things. We want to know, and you want to know what you're going to look like and feel like before we ever do anything at all. This is not just a single implant or a basic crown or filling. So it is going to take a little bit of time. Most of my cases we'll have between four to eight implants per jaw. And most of the time I'll do both the top and the bottom jaw simultaneously. So there's not a coming and going. It's a very streamlined process in my practice. My staff is prepared for these types of procedure.
