Two Bronze Age round barrows can still be seen upon 'Hilly Fields', reached by way of a public footpath to the left of The Hare and Hounds Public House. That crowning the northern aspect of the rise [TQ348518] is by far the more imposing, its (relative) survival possibly the result of it being reused as the base for a succession of windmills, the last of which was demolished in c1890. The companion barrow to the south is just about recognisable... The Citizen Cairn was not able to pinpoint two further such monuments which apparently are located within the locale?
